Former Paine College president among Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

 (Augusta, GA) - On Saturday, February 12, 2011 Paine College will host its annual Athletic Hall of Fame Breakfast. The breakfast will be held in the Candler Memorial Library Building at 8:00 a.m. The cost of attendance is $20.

This year’s inductees include: Joseph Tinsley ’96, Willie Adams ‘96, Richard Williams, Selina Kohn and Dr. William Harris, ‘66. Paine expects to welcome hundreds of alumni, their families and friends, and other supporters to its 129th Homecoming Celebration. This year's weeklong celebration, which is entitled “There’s No Place Like Home” will be held on the campus and various venues throughout the city of Augusta. The homecoming celebration will begin Sunday, February 6, 2011 and end Sunday, February 13, 2011. 
 
"I am delighted to invite everyone to back to Paine," said Dr. George C. Bradley. "We are very excited about this year’s celebration. We look forward to providing opportunities for our alumni and their families and friends to renew old ties and make new ones, to reminisce about their time at Paine, and to reconnect with their alma mater in meaningful ways."

This year’s homecoming celebration will include the 30th Annual Conference on the Black Experience, 129th Founders Day Convocation, Annual Homecoming Parade, Homecoming Basketball Game, Comedy Show, Greek Step Show, 11th Annual Scholarship Masked Ball, and Gospel Explosion.
