(AUGUSTA, GA) -Paine College will host its Sixth Annual Graduate and Professional School Day on Thursday, November 5, 2009. This event is in support of the strategic goal of student engagement.  “We are really focused on scheduling more innovative programs that are of student interest for their social development and increasing the number of students who engage in experiential learning opportunities beyond the campus,” said Dr. Tina Marshall-Bradley, special assistant to the Provost.

The event will be held in the Candler Memorial Library between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to speak with graduate and professional school representatives from across the region.

Back by popular demand from last year will be the “Speed Information Session” from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  This activity is similar to speed dating where students will remain stationary while graduate and professional school representatives move to groups of students providing them with an overview of their program(s) at fixed intervals. This session gives students an opportunity to learn about all of the programs in a short period of time.  Students will also be given information to assist them in preparing for graduate and professional school regardless of their classification.
