Tucker,GA- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its Pre-season All-Conference Basketball Teams Tuesday, November 17, 2009, and Senior Guard Julian English (Pictured) was selected as a member of the 2009-2010 Men’s First Team.
Since joining the ranks as a Lion in 2006, Julian has been known by SIAC opponents as “shooter” given that he has made shooting behind the 3-point arc appear effortless. Being the first man off the bench each season, Julian is just 64 points shy of 1,000 career points. As a freshman, Julian played in 17 games and averaged 11 points, sophomore year 28 games averaging 14 points. As a junior in the 2008-2009 season, Julian was leading scorer for the Lions scoring 352 points in 26 games, averaging 13 points.
English is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, a 2006 graduate of Frederick Douglass High School, and is currently majoring in Business Management.
The All Conference teams consist of players from 13 SIAC schools including: Albany State University, Benedict College, Clark Atlanta University, Claflin University, Fort Valley State University, Kentucky State University, Lane College, LeMoyne-Owen College, Miles College, Morehouse College, Paine College, Stillman College, and Tuskegee University. The first and second team members were chosen by the SIAC Men’s Basketball Coaches Association.
