(AUGUSTA, GA) – Paine College president Dr. George C. Bradley recently appointed Stanley O. Ervin as the Director of Admissions.
Ervin will be responsible for developing and implementing all admissions goals, strategies and policies. He will also oversee all aspects of student recruitment for the College as well as ensure each class is filled with the appropriate number of qualified students.
Ervin is skilled in engaging with youth. He previously served as an Admissions Counselor and Residence Coordinator at Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C. As Residence Coordinator, he managed residence life, class schedules, social education, academic tutoring, cultural events and program planning.
"My vision for the Office of Admissions at Paine College is to double enrollment and increase the student retention," Ervin said.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health/Physical Education from Shaw University. He currently serves as the Scholarship Chairperson of the United Negro College Fund’s Annual "Maya Angelou Women Who Lead" Luncheon Committee.
