Dr. George C. Bradley, President, is pleased to announce that Bill Cosby, Philanthropist and Comedian, will present an hour of comedy in appreciation to Paine College faculty and staff on Sunday evening, August 11, 2013, at 5 p.m. in the HEAL Complex located on the campus.  Doors will open at 4 p.m.

“We will celebrate the men and women of the faculty and staff who work tirelessly to contribute to the College’s success and those who facilitate the living and learning environment for our students,” said Dr. Bradley.   “Our faculty and staff are an elite and dedicated group of individuals who go beyond the ‘call of duty’ to meet the needs of our students.  This is our way of showing them how much we appreciate their commitment to Paine.”

Armed with an earned doctorate in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Bill Cosby believes that education is the key to success in life and he inspires students to pursue advanced degrees.  He reminds his audience why educators and teachers are amongst the most valued treasures for impressionable minds.  Of particular note, Mr. Cosby has an honorary doctorate degree from Paine College.

One of America’s most beloved comedians, Bill Cosby has captivated generations of fans with his comedy routines, iconic albums and best-selling books.  His comedy transcends age, gender and cultural barriers.

Although Mr. Cosby’s visit will focus on celebrating the contributions of Paine College’s esteemed faculty and staff, he will also greet the 2013 fall incoming freshman class, returning upperclassmen, alumni, friends and supporters in the Cosby vintage style.
