(Augusta, GA) – In an effort to enhance the living, learning and overall working environment for Paine College students, faculty and staff, Dr. George Bradley issued a mandate to members of his Cabinet to develop a strategic plan that would review and address areas of campus life to facilitate improvements.
On Wednesday, October 9, 2013, during the College’s weekly Assembly, Dr. Samuel Sullivan, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, articulated the WE CARE Campaign that is designed to “refresh” the campus. He stated, “We will take a closer look at the academic offerings and make sure that we are responsive to our students and to the community’s needs. We will work to attract the best and brightest students as we refine admissions requirements.”
“WE CARE cannot occur if I don’t care,” said Dr. Sullivan as he laid out the goals of the new initiative to faculty, staff and students who applauded throughout the announcement. “And WE CARE cannot occur if you don’t care – we all have to participate to achieve the goals of this campaign,” he further stated.
Dr. Sullivan invited the Student Government Association, clubs and organizations to help lead the WE CARE initiative by developing and implementing sub-campaigns to address many of the areas that will be reviewed.
“It’s going to take all of us doing our part to make this campus into what we aspire it to be,” commented Dr. Sullivan as he pointed out that Vice Presidents, faculty and staff will also actively participate by identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
Periodically, the College will give updates about the progress of the campaign and its impact on the campus.
