Paine College to Crown Campus King and Queen

(Augusta, GA) – Paine College invites the CSRA to the Coronation of Mister and Miss Paine College 2013-2014, which will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel on the campus of Paine College. Mr. Nicholas Ilugbo and Miss Tekeya Peterson will take their places as student ambassadors for the academic school year.

About Miss Tekeya Peterson
Tekeya Lashay Peterson has been elected as Miss Paine College 2013-2014. Peterson is the daughter of Robbin Haynes and Stanley Peterson Sr. She is a native of Sarasota, Florida and majors in Media Studies with a minor in Public Relations. 

Upon graduating from Paine College, the ambitious campus queen’s post-graduate plans are to attend graduate school at Howard University to receive a post graduate degree in Africana Studies and Media Studies.

“To become all that God has called for me to be,” is Peterson’s personal goal, while her career goal is to become the most sought after publicist in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

About Mister Nicholas Ilugbo
Nicholas Ilugbo will be crowned as Mister Paine College for the 2013-2014 academic school year. Ilugbo is the son of Lorraine S. Russell and Clement Ilugbo of Hampton, Georgia. The Paine College senior is a Psychology major and is adamant on continuing his education at the graduate level.

Ilugbo’s career goal is to become a marriage and family counselor, which he believes is the cornerstone of a productive community. Ilugbo lives by the following, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in the times of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy”.

This event is FREE and open to the public. The Community is encouraged to attend.
