Paine College will conduct its week of Commencement festivities starting Monday, May 5th through Sunday, May 11, 2014.  The festivities are designed to celebrate the academic achievements of the Class of 2014 and their journey to excellence.

During Commencement week, there will be a number of events that will kick off the celebration starting with a Block Party and a Senior Career Day that will incorporate a resume boot camp featuring Kelly of Augusta Staffing.  The seniors will perform a day of community service and will attend the Senior White Party in the Candler Memorial Library ballroom.

This is the time of year when alumni return to the campus to reconnect and celebrate with classes in reunion.  This year, the Golden Class of 1964 will be Inducted into the Golden Agers Club while the classes ending in 4’s and 9’s will reunite.  The graduating seniors and alumni classes in reunion are invited to attend the Family Reunion Cookout that will be held Friday, May 9th at Paine House.

Southern Charm is free and open to the public and will be held in Candler Memorial Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

While the Commencement Convocation is the main ceremony on Sunday morning, the Baccalaureate Ceremony will take place Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel.  This inter-faith celebration is open to all students, their guests and to the community.
