Committee on Research Affecting Human and Animal Subjects/Institutional Review Board

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requires that all research projects involving human subjects be screened to confirm that the subjects’ rights, privacy, welfare, and civil liberties are protected. The Paine College Committee on Research Affecting Human and animal Subjects/Institutional Review Board is responsible for reviewing all human subjects research projects conducted by individuals affiliated with Paine College, including students.

In ALL cases, RESEARCH MAY NOT PROCEED until authorized by the Committee.

Please fill out the Research Protocol Approval Form .

All application forms must be turned in by the second Monday of each month to be reviewed prior to the committee’s regularly scheduled meeting time of the third Monday of each month.
