TITLE: Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball

REPORTS TO:  Head Women's Basketball Coach

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Twelve months

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Paine College invites applications for the full-time position of assistant coach for women's basketball.  The assistant coach will work closely and directly with the head coach and aid in all areas of the basketball program.  The assistant coach must be a motivated individual who will bring leadership, enthusiasm, and a desire to contribute to the basketball program and Paine College.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training, recruiting, team travel, strength and conditioning, practice, fundraising, alumni relations, and community involvement.  Successful applicant must represent Paine College and help ensure team compliance with all institutional and NCCAA Division I rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Successful coaching, recruiting and/or playing experience at the collegiate level are required
  • Working knowledge of NCCAA Division I rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Successful applicants will demonstrate commitment to the academic goals of the university and to the academic success of student-athletes
  • Successful applicant must be of good moral character with conduct consistent with the university and state code-of-conduct
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the College's evaluation instrument for faculty/staff.
