REPORTS TO: Learning Resources Center Manager 

OBJECTIVE: Assists students with hardware and software in the computer laboratories and provides computer maintenance. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides customer service and instruction for the Learning Resources Center (LRC), particularly for the operation and use of the LRC computers and software. Performs routine maintenance, standard and custom computer configurations, minimum computer repairs, software installation on computers in the library, and serves as point of contact for warranty work. Provides technical expertise on the purchase and maintenance of library technology, including equipment upgrades, software procurement, security software and hardware in consultation with campus ITS. Serves as liaison to ITS for the Library and Learning Resources Center. Serves as the consultant for the electronic classrooms in the LRC, and for maintenance of the multimedia instructional stations. Supervises the duties of work-study assistants, and assigns task to Computer Laboratory Assistant as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate of Arts degree, preferably in a technology related field. Preferred Bachelor of Arts degree. Experience: Experience with computer hardware and software, preferably in an academic, library, or laboratory setting Proven customer service skills

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Broad-based knowledge of computers and software installation Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with co-workers and LRC users Good oral and written communication skills Ability to work without close supervision Able to work some weekends and evening hours 

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONTACT WITH OTHERS: Works as part of a team to accomplish LRC activities 

PERCENTAGE OF TIME ALLOCATION: 1.0 FTE (100% Title III)
