Panoramic is a multi-media four-day conference created and produced by the faculty and students of the Paine College in the Media Studies Department. It will be held from October 9-12 in Candler Memorial Library. The Department of Media Studies has partnered with the Augusta Film Commission and the American Youth Film Festival to provide professional industry workshops for students and anyone interested in the media and entertainment industry.

This year's theme is Marshall McLuhan's theory, "The Medium is the Message." The conference will highlight how media has affected the way people communicate through today's technology;__, i.e., how we send and receive messages, and how it all affects human life. The conference will further highlight the careers of media professionals, as well as that of Professor Emeritus, Mallory Millender. Additionally, there will be a special dinner to honor the life and career of Dr. Millender on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at 7:00 pm.
