Grammy Award-Nominated & American-Idol Winner Ruben Studdard to Headline the Paine College 20th Annual Presidential Scholarship Gala & Masked Ball

Augusta, GA (January 15, 2024) - Paine College is proud to announce that Grammy-nominated and American Idol winner Ruben Studdard will headline the 20th Annual Presidential Scholarship Gala & Masked Ball during the Homecoming weekend celebration. The black-tie event will take place Friday evening, February 9th at the David & Betty C. Peterson HEAL Complex located at 1255 Druid Park Avenue, Augusta, GA.

This signature event promises an evening of dining, dancing, live entertainment, a silent auction featuring the art of Charles Rhome, and the classic Parade of Masks. The Masked Ball will also feature performances by Jonay Bailey and the Art of Xpression Band. Talented comedienne and actress Poncere Daniels will host the celebratory event that is in support of the College's UNCF Scholarship Campaign.

"We are indeed honored to host Ruben Studdard for this occasion," said Dr. Cheryl Evans Jones, President of Paine College. "His level of performance and talent fit harmoniously with the College's commitment to providing access to a quality education. The evening will highlight sponsors and supporters who believe as we do that Paine College is a sound investment."

Tickets for this event are available at $150 per individual and $1,500 for a table that seats ten (10). Sponsorship packages are available. Doors will open 6:00 pm. The Program will begin 7:00pm.
