Alumni to Return to Lion Nation! It's A Family Affair: One Divine Purpose

April 30, 2019

It's that time of year again when Paine alumni return to celebrate classes in reunion, reconnect, build unity and create traditions. This year, Alumni classes ending in 4s and 9s will return to the campus for a weekend of celebration starting Friday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 5th. There will be a gathering of generations of alums from the Classes of 1934 to first time in reunion Class of 2014. Paine College began as a High School in 1882 and later transformed into a College. The last Paine High School class graduated in 1944. The College dedicated the 2019 Commencement Convocation to the living Paine High School Graduates.

The College invites alumni, friends and the 2019 Paine Graduating Seniors to gather under one roof Friday evening, May 3rd at 7:00 pm for the Family Affair Party. The evening promises to bring the soulful sounds of Jonay Bailey, and the comedic host Poncere Daniels. Actor and Paine graduate Samuel Fudge will return to share some of his experiences from working on movie sets such as "Selma", "Birth of a Nation" and "Emperor". Dancing, delectable delights by Chef TAJ, and DJ Big Daddy JD will round out the evening of fun and festivities. Tickets are $30.00 per person with proceeds benefiting the College.

It's important for the Paine College family to cultivate relationships and build bridges. The Graduating Seniors will be among the guests of honor and will have an opportunity to network with alums.
