Paine College is pleased to announce a partnership with the Doc Bowman Horizon Foundation focused on improving the quality of campus life for students through the "20 For Paine" Bumper Sticker Campaign. The collaboration launched a bumper sticker campaign to raise funds that will go towards renovating residential halls and enhancing dormitories with modern features that will improve living and learning environments throughout the campus. The "20 For Paine" bumper sticker can be purchased via PayPal at www.paine.edu, or in-person at the College's business office. One can also purchase the bumper sticker by visiting the Doc Bowman Horizon Foundation online at docbowmanhorizonfoundation.com. The cost to purchase is $20.00, however, the College encourages supporters to purchase multiple stickers.

As the partnership progresses and bumper sticker proceeds increase, the College and the Doc Bowman Horizon Foundation (Horizon) will provide campaign updates. The 20 for Paine Bumper Sticker Campaign has the goal of reaching $2 million.

Dr. Cheryl Evans Jones, President, said, "We are immensely grateful to Dr. Mac Bowman, Founder of the Doc Bowman Horizon Foundation, for his show of support for Paine College. The Paine College faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees, friends and supporters throughout the state, nation, and abroad are invited to purchase bumper stickers and proudly show support of Paine. Purchase multiple stickers and invite friends to invest likewise. By displaying the bumper sticker, you will elevate the College's name in a positive light while supporting the enhancement of our dormitories."

During an interview with the Aiken Standard Newspaper following the 141st Opening Convocation held September 8th, Dr. Mac Bowman stated why he and Mr. De Pierce, CEO of Horizon, created the bumper sticker campaign. "There are positive reflections of Paine College everywhere in the CSRA and so it is a very easy simulation of that and what we do with Horizon. We're about three of those things that move opportunities forward in this community just like Paine College has done for years and years." Dr. Mac Bowman is a prominent cardiologist at Piedmont Hospital. Horizon grew out of shared interests between Dr. Bowman and Mr. Pierce of Mercedes-Benz of Augusta.

"We invite the entire community to get on board and ‘ride with Paine' by purchasing and displaying the bumper sticker. It's beautifully designed and makes a positive statement," commented Helene Carter, VP of Institutional Advancement. "We are inviting the Paine College National Alumni Association, Alumni Chapters, the faith-based community, the Divine Nine, all organizations, and constituents to get involved and flood the highways and byways with the 20 For Paine bumper stickers. Apply the bumper stickers to mailboxes, offices, storefront windows, in highly visible locations. We encourage all of our friends and supporters to go with Paine."
