Welcome Golden Class of 1972
Message from Dr. Eugene Robinson, President, Golden Agers

Greetings 1972 Graduates of Paine College I am Eugene Robinson, President of the Golden Agers. Each year, our group invites graduates celebrating their fiftieth anniversary to join us as generations celebrate the institution, Paine College, which gave birth to our careers and life journey. As noted in the communication from the college, you are invited to march in with the 2022 graduates at the graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 8.

I offer you an opportunity to celebrate your journey with us, the Golden Agers, on Saturday, May 7 at 11:00 AM on the second floor in the Candler Building. We want to celebrate a Rites of Passage, the ritual of moving from one stage of life to another, with you, your family, and your friends as you join a unique group of individuals.

We invite you to share the names (necrology) of fallen members of the 1972 class and share some reflections about your 50-year journey. As you share the names of fallen alumni, we will celebrate their lives by remembering and pausing to acknowledge their presence in our lives. If you cannot attend, I ask that you send me your name and the names of your deceased classmates you know about. We want to honor all of you. You can text me at 678-640-7929 or email me at erobi4275@aol.com.

Finally, we will induct you into the prestigious Golden Agers Association of the Paine College National Alumni Association. Each member of the 1972 class will receive a 50th-year medallion to mark the occasion.

Please join us as you celebrate a significant milestone in your life journey!

Respectfully,
Eugene (Gene) Robinson ‘67
