Education
· Master’s Degree in Special Education, Education Rehabilitation, Social Work, Counseling, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Preferred: Specialized Training in Learning Disabilities; Licensure in Social Work, Mental Health Clinician;
· Bilingual is a plus.
Experience
· Required Experience: Three or more years of job-related experience working with physical, cognitive, academic, and psychological disabilities.
· Knowledge of ADA, ADAAA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Fair Housing Act, other state and federal laws, and related standards. Knowledge of physical, medical, psychological, sensory, and learning disabilities. Knowledge of reasonable accommodations for specific disabilities.
· Knowledge of counseling and advising techniques.
· Knowledge of adaptive equipment and technology.
· Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, customer service skills, and ability to multi-task
· Experience in higher education is desirable.
· Experience working with diverse populations.
· Experiencing using Microsoft Office Suite.
