The Office of Academic Affairs leads the College as it implements its Mission "to provide a liberal arts education of the highest quality that emphasizes academic excellence, ethical and spiritual values, social responsibility, and personal development."
Paine College offers major programs in fields leading to two degrees: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. Students may choose from a total of 16 majors offered in two schools through six departments.
On July 1, 2011 Paine College reorganized its academic units into two schools: the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Professional Studies. Each school has three departments. Highly productive faculty members still create relevant programs to meet the needs of highly motivated students. The new academic structure moves the institution closer to its vision of being recognized regionally as a premier liberal arts institution of higher education in the region.
