Dr. Lester A. McCorn will be inaugurated as the 18th President of Paine College on Thursday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the historic Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel.
A series of special events will mark the historic occasion during the week of September 13th-20th.

Dr. McCorn has served as President and Professor of Christian Leadership at Clinton College located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He is an ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. He served as pastor of churches in Boston, Connecticut, Atlanta and as Senior Pastor of the Historic 1,500-member Pennsylvania Avenue AME Zion Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. McCorn is married to Mrs. Charlene M. McCorn, an elementary school teacher in Fort Mill, South Carolina. They are the proud parents of four adult children and five grandchildren. He is a proud Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. ®

Charlene Maria Mundy-McCorn, lovingly known as "Lady Char," is an accomplished educator, faith leader, and the First Lady of Paine College in Augusta, GA. With degrees from Valdosta State University and the University of New Haven, she has spent 28 years shaping young minds through public education in communities across the country. Grounded in her deep faith, she has served the A.M.E. Zion Church in numerous capacities and has shared in global ministry with her husband, Dr. Lester McCorn, for over 30 years. A proud mother of four and "GiGi" to five grandchildren, she is celebrated for her warmth, vibrant spirit, and unwavering dedication to youth, worship, and service.
