Augusta, Ga — In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our campus community has demonstrated remarkable resilience and unity.

Assessments are ongoing, but it's evident that our campus and many in our community have sustained significant damage.

However, thanks to the overwhelming and superb service of Thompson Hospitality Foodservice and Plant Operations, we were able to continue providing hot meals to our students and community during this challenging time. Donations of water, food, gasoline, and medical supplies were donated by the Alumni Give Back Program, the Crazy Dreamer Foundation, the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the City of Augusta, and countless others.

In the aftermath, Staff and Students from Oxford College and Wesley United Methodist Church parishioners were dispatched by the United Methodist Committee on Relief to clear debris. Several of the College's vendors volunteered their time to clear debris and clean the interior of impacted areas.

In addition to meal service, we kept our campus informed with timely updates via email, e2 Emergency text messages and phone calls. Our communication efforts ensured that students and their families remained aware of the resources available to them and any changes to campus operations.

As we continue to rebuild and support one another, we remain committed to fostering a strong and compassionate community. For those wishing to contribute to ongoing recovery efforts, please considering giving via links below.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our students and our campus during this time. Together, we will emerge stronger.
