Orientation Dates: July 26, 2019 – July 31, 2019

Paine College is proud to welcome incoming freshmen and transfer students with the New Student Orientation (NSO) Program. During this program, we will provide you, and your family, with an introduction to life on campus. The NSO program will help ease the transition to Paine College for both you and your family and will ensure that you as a new student are knowledgeable about and connected to all the resources you'll need as a new student. We look forward to welcoming you to Paine College!

 

FRIDAY, JULY 26TH
Time Location Event Information
9:00am –5:00pm (Closed from 12-1:30PM) HEAL Complex Registration All Students must check-in at the check-in desk. Based on the stage of completion, students will be referred to One Stop Shop I or One Stop Shop II.
(Dress Comfortably All Day)
    One-Stop Shop I This check-in station is for students who have not completed admissions, financial aid, academic advisement, testing, housing, billing items. and securing their student ID cards. Representatives from each area will be available to assist students with completing registration. Be advised that a wait-period is to be expected.
    One-Stop Shop II This check-in station is for students who have completed all components of registration. Orientation packets will be distributed here and clearance will be given to proceed to a residence hall for move-in. Medical Forms,
Authorization for Release of Student Information Forms, and College Policy and Requirement Assembly Forms will be collected. Representatives from various campus organizations will be available as well.

5pm-6:30pm Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel Parting Ceremony This is the first rite of passage ceremony for New Students. This ceremony allows parents and/or loved ones to part with and pin their college student and turn them over to the welcoming hands of the Paine College Community.
ATTIRE: Ladies: All white (conservative clothing and jewelry) Gentlemen: Black or navy dress slacks/white shirt/tie Meet your pride group leaders in the Student Center at 4:30pm
6:30pm-8:00pm Peters Campus Center Parting Dinner Lion's Dining Hall (Families are invited to share this final meal with their students)
